In the early hours of Tuesday evening 31/03/2026, there has been a fire explosion at filming warehouse around Downtown. A source told Newsrun24 that it was as a result of bridge connections that resulted to the spark that caused the fire damaging valuable properties and leaving one worker dead and two workers were left severely injured. Meanwhile, the contracting company had flown in the Director from the Nigeria to Screenplay and executive produce the reality series.

Mr Frederick Nnaemeka Leonard is a seasoned actor and film director with decades of experience in the Nigeria filming industry. He has also been recommended by top filming firms as the go-to guy in recent years. However, this once-flourishing relationship between Mr. Fredrick and his clients might be coming to a halt.
One source says the contracting company is highly disappointed in the project’s engineer and hence has ordered the police chief, commissioner Hakeem to conduct a thorough investigation.

Mr Frederick .

“The site Supervisor Mr Frederick together with his employee Hameed Rufus will be liable if this tragedy turns out to be as a result of negligence on his or their part”, these were the exact words of the police chief, Commissioner Hakeem. Safety rules are put in place for a reason and it is the responsibility of the workers to adhere to these rules. Site engineers should also make sure that the structures can withstand any additions to them,” he added.

Dr. Waheed Salim, the medical director of The New Dera medical center told Prime Time News in a Live interview that two of the three individuals injured in the accident are in stable condition but sadly they lost one of the men as he was confirmed dead on arrival.
“Our supervisor was here when the electrical control box was installed, and everything seemed to be in perfect order. I just don’t understand how this could have happened,” one of the workers told Newsrun24. “Even now, some of the wiring and components appear untouched. The explosion was sudden and violent it didn’t even seem real at first. It wasn’t until minutes later, when we saw the smoke and scorched equipment, that the severity of it hit us.”
